Getting to The Nare

Perched on a secluded bay within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Nare promises peace, quiet and boundless natural beauty. This rare sense of privacy, however, does not come at the cost of convenience. Thanks to the efforts of The Nare's management, the hotel remains easy to reach for travellers from all corners of the globe.

By road

The Nare is situated on the south coast of Cornwall, eight miles south of Truro and just over four hours from London. To find the hotel, use the postcode TR2 5PF.

On arrival, please park at the front door. The hotel staff will arrange for your car to be unpacked and valet-parked.

Note for sat nav users: some sat navs direct you along a very narrow route on the final approach to the hotel. To avoid this, follow the brown 'Nare Hotel' signs from Tregony. As you approach Veryan, The Nare's neighbouring village, ignore the left turn signposted 'Carne'. On arrival, look for the 'Guest Arrivals' sign and drive to the front door.

By rail

There is a direct line from London Paddington to Truro railway station, which is a 30-minute drive from the hotel.

The front-of-house team can advise on train times and arrange a hire car for you from Truro. Alternatively, you can choose our chauffeur service for direct travel from Truro station to The Nare. This must, however, be arranged in advance.

By plane

Cornwall Airport Newquay
The nearest major airport is Cornwall Airport Newquay (NQY), which is around 45 minutes away by car. It welcomes daily domestic flights from London Heathrow, Glasgow, Manchester and Newcastle.

If you're travelling from abroad, you can book direct flights to Newquay from Dublin, Cork, Faro, Alicante, Frankfurt or Düsseldorf.

Alternative airports
Bristol Airport and Exeter Airport have more extensive domestic and international flight options.

Getting here from the airport
The Nare's guest services team will be delighted to arrange a hire car from any of these airports. Alternatively, a door-to-door chauffeur service can be provided if arranged in advance.

By helicopter

Helicopters may land at The Nare with prior clearance (landing charge: a good lunch!) The landing pad is located in the field behind the car park.

Door-to-door chauffeur service

For travellers who wish to travel in the height of comfort, The Nare offers a door-to-door chauffeur service. When you book this option, one of our trusted chauffeurs will meet you at home and drive you directly to the hotel.

On the way, you can request as many rest stops as needed. Your chauffeur is there to make sure your journey is as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. It is the ideal option for those less able to travel independently, or who simply want to sit back and enjoy the view.
