Sea view suites
The Nare's position is a privilege. Here, beside Carne Beach, the horizon blushes an endless blue, and the tranquil sounds of the tide usher guests awake each morning. It is a setting worth savouring, and most of the hotel's suites are designed to take full advantage of it.
Sea view suites enjoy fabulous views of the hotel gardens, tumbling to the beach and onwards across the sea towards the Lizard. The interiors, too, are a treat. Each is individually decorated to evoke a classic country house atmosphere and make the most of the abundant natural light.
The suites are very spacious, featuring a comfortable bedroom, an ensuite bathroom and a separate sitting room. All come with either a sea-facing balcony or terrace, too – perfect for catching up on reading, catching up with loved ones or simply catching some sunshine.

Junior suites
Approx. 40m²/430ft²
Junior Suites are a little more compact, but still offer plenty of space and an abundance of country charm. Each features a lovely bedroom with king or twin beds, a separate sitting room and an ensuite bathroom with a separate bath and walk-in shower. A private balcony, meanwhile, ensures a daily dose of fresh sea air and glorious sea views.
Splendid suites
Approx. 50m²/538ft²
Splendid suites are just what they sound like – splendidly spacious, splendidly comfortable and blessed with splendid views over Gerrans Bay. Expect a plush bedroom with king or twin beds, a comfortable sitting room and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower and separate bath. All come with either a private balcony or terrace.
Superior suites
Approx. 60m²/646ft²
For those seeking space and cosy charm in equal measure, superior suites offer the ideal balance. The comfortable bedrooms have king or twin beds and large walk-in wardrobes, while the elegant ensuite bathrooms feature a walk-in shower and a separate bath. Guests also enjoy a comfortable separate sitting room and a private balcony or terrace.
One superior suite includes a separate single-bedded cabin room suitable for a child.
Luxury suites
Approx. 70–80m²/753-861ft²
More space and a deeper sense of luxury await in these suites. Decorated with hand-picked art and antiques, each features a private balcony or terrace, a comfortable sitting room and a large bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe. Twin or king beds are available – all decadently soft. The ensuite bathroom, meanwhile, benefits from an elegant walk-in shower and separate bath.
Grand suites
Approx. 100m²/1076ft²
The Nare's most prestigious suites. All are thoughtfully equipped to make the most of the abundant space and benefit from private balconies to soak up the especially spectacular sea views. Elsewhere in the suite, guests will find a master bedroom (king or twin), a spacious sitting room, a pantry and a deluxe ensuite bathroom. Elegantly designed, these feature walk-in showers and separate baths.
One of these suites is home to The Lookout – a purpose-built snug for reading, writing or simply enjoying the scenery.
Greater suites
Deluxe two- and three-bedroom suites for families and groups
Approx. 90–130m²/969-1399ft²
Recent additions to The Nare are four deluxe suites, each with an extra bedroom to accommodate families and groups in supreme comfort. Together, they make up the western part of the main house, where large windows afford panoramic views over Carne Beach and Gerrans Bay.
The Whittington Suites were named after Toby Ashworth's grandmother and great grandmother. They can be arranged in one-, two-, three or four-bedroom combinations to meet the needs of couples, groups and extended families alike.
The Olive Whittington Suite (comprising of five rooms) and the Bettye Whittington suite, (comprising of four rooms) each have the exclusivity and security of their own whole floor.
Within the suite, guests will find:
- Large double bedroom (king or twin) with ensuite bathroom
- One or two extra bedrooms/dressing rooms (king or twin) with ensuite shower room
- Sitting room with dining table
- Pantry with fridge, microwave and kettle
- Private balcony and terrace
