The perfect place for a swim (or a soak)

The Nare has two swimming pools – a heated outdoor pool, which enjoys fantastic views across the bay, and a warm indoor pool for cooler days. The outdoor hot tub, meanwhile, is perfectly positioned to soak up the stunning views of Gerrans Bay and is warmed to an enticing 36°C (97°F) all year round.

Adventures at sea

Exploring the Roseland Peninsula by boat is an experience to be cherished forever. As valued guests, visitors can enjoy exclusive use of the hotel's two boats: a 38-foot gentleman's motor launch and a classic Cornish sailboat. Available to charter for full or half days, they offer the rare chance to discover this stunning region from the water.

A beach beyond the crowds

While Carne Beach is not private, it is so quiet and easy to access that it may as well be. Guests can reach the beach in seconds from the hotel gardens. Awaiting are golden sands, abundant rock pools and acres of space for fun and games. With its gentle waves and softly sloping sands, Carne is particularly safe for children and a paradise for dogs, walkers and nature lovers.

Croquet

The Nare is proud to be one of the only hotels in Cornwall with a dedicated croquet lawn. Suitable for all ages and abilities, it offers the perfect excuse to while away a sunny afternoon with friends. The large lawn is set above the hotel, granting beautiful views over the bay. Unlock artistic talents

Cornwall has a well-deserved artistic reputation, and with views like those from The Nare, it is easy to see why. For guests staying at the hotel, it can be the ideal opportunity to unlock, or rediscover, artistic talents.

Guests can join Jeanni, The Nare's artist in residence, for a painting lesson or two. Her passion for art is infectious, and with taster sessions and multi-day lessons available, each experience can be tailored to individual interests. Best of all, guests leave with a very personal, hand-painted souvenir of their stay.
