Dinner
Served from 6pm to 8.30pm
As the day meanders into evening, The Quarterdeck takes on a subtly different flavour. Still relaxed, but with a deeper sense of romance and occasion.
The dishes, too, become more refined, with seasonal evening menus showcasing local heroes such as Cornish crab, Dover sole, locally farmed beef and lamb, and an abundance of fresh seasonal vegetables. To complete an evening meal, the hand-selected fine wine list offers the perfect pairing.
It soon becomes apparent why The Quarterdeck has been awarded an AA Rosette, and remains a favourite among residents and visitors alike.
Lunch
Served from noon until 2pm
Lunchtime is when The Quarterdeck is at its most vibrant and laid-back. As the midday sun sparkles upon Gerrans Bay, the chefs are hard at work preparing a menu of light, delicate delights to suit all appetites. Stop by for a snack, a small plate or something more substantial, and spend a lazy afternoon drinking up fine wine in a soulful setting with simply spectacular views.
The Quarterdeck opens for coffees, hot drinks and homemade cakes from 10am - 12pm.
Afternoon tea
Served from 3pm to 5pm
The Quarterdeck serves the most scenic afternoon tea in Cornwall – and, some would say, one of the most delicious. Presented on an elegant tiered tray against a panoramic coastal backdrop, it is a feast for the senses and the soul. Expect generously filled sandwiches, dainty treats and, of course, homemade scones with lashings of clotted cream.
Cornish from coast to plate
At The Quarterdeck, ingredients are everything. And, as far as possible, everything is Cornish. Peruse the menus, and spot squid plucked from Falmouth Bay, oysters from Porthilly and lamb reared to tender perfection on local farms. Our Cornwall restaurant buys local because buying local is fresher, tastier and, quite simply, better.
That commitment extends beyond the plate through support for the National Lobster Hatchery's Buy One, Set One Free initiative, helping to protect Cornwall's thriving marine ecosystem.
