We had an amazing stay at The Nare and can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, we arrived late and the chef still cooked for us. The room was absolutely spotless, probably one of the cleanest hotel rooms we’ve ever stayed in, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Waking up to those stunning sea views was a real treat!
The food was fantastic, but the desserts really stood out—there was such a great selection, and every single one we tried was delicious. Definitely worth saving room for!
Everything about The Nare made for a perfect getaway, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.
What a fantastic place to stay. The staff are amazing (can’t do enough for you). The rooms are luxurious but also very cozy and with a couple of surprising elements (one of my TVs was hidden behind a sliding framed picture !). The food is excellent with seasonal produce cooked and served to perfection. Would highly recommend staying snd the view …….. !

From the moment you arrive at the front door the Nare experience starts. Bags removed from your car and whisked up to your room while you are ushered in for your cream tea (or bar).
The food is excellent and a great choice,the staff and service is second to none and the effort that goes into making your stay as pleasant and relaxing as possible is endless. The hotel sits with an amazing view out to sea with lovely gardens. The Nare is luxury hotel and an ideal place to sit back and relax.
I rate it 5 stars because they are so so friendly. If you want to go body boarding for the first time just to try.. Izzy age 9.
Amazing hotel, helpful, lets us borrow body boards. Does room service 24/7, also does a baby siting service, so you don’t have to worry about your children while you have your supper. If you want to have a relaxing time at a seaside hotel, even with children come here.
For many years we have always tried to take an annual short break to The Nare. It is always a beautiful experience. This latest visit was excellent. It was so peaceful and tranquil. My husband, mum and I were in the restaurant for the evening meal and although several other diners were there, I commented to my family how beautiful the atmosphere was. It felt perfect. The ambience created such a relaxed mood. If you are looking for peace and quality, The Nare is the place! The staff are always brilliant too. Impeccable service, present, helpful, welcoming but gently in the background. Visits to The Nare have truly enriched our lives.
Return trip to this fabulous hotel. Perfect location for a quiet holiday, amazing views and great walks. Very relaxed, incredibly welcoming and helpful staff. Delicious food.
From walking through the door on arrival, to leaving, we were given the most wonderful service in delightful surroundings by staff who could not have done more for us.
The room was very comfortable and the views superb.
Dinner was beyond expectations, a terrific menu, cooked to perfection and served by waiting staff who were attentive, engaging and who enhanced the dining experience.

Afternoon tea in the lounge with delicious Scone’s & wonderful views. All our bedrooms were Seaview and what a way to wake up in the morning seeing the sunrise over the Nare’s Head in beautiful room’s . Room 22 perfect for nipping to the pool & Sauna straight down in the lift !
Our evening’s started with Canapés in the bar. With delicious food served in the Dining room by friendly staff. We also had lovely treatments with Linda & Ann who gave a wonderful massage & Reflexology.
All in all a wonderful stay for us all.
Set in a tranquil and beautiful corner of the Roseland peninsular we have had a wonderful 2 night stay . The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food was varied and delicious. Rooms exude the 'Country House by the sea' vibe, comfortable, and spacious with lots of little touches. An extremely relaxing, and rejuvenating visit.
We booked the Easter Afternoon Tea at the Nare Hotel for our family group (which included 2 small children) and had a very enjoyable time. We asked for plain cheese sandwiches for the children but of course they first enjoyed the scones, jam and cream and some of the cakes - so most of the sandwiches came away with us in the boxes kindly provided to be enjoyed the next day! The adults did justice to all the savouries and the scones but we too left with boxes of cakes …. The waitress was very accommodating and efficient and the whole atmosphere was friendly and relaxed so it made for a lovely family occasion.

Our stay at the Nare hotel was brief but memorable. My partner and I went for a relaxing weekend away and received exactly that. The moment we stepped inside the elegant ambiance and attentive service set the tone for the rest of the stay. One waitress in particular, who I didn’t catch the name of but had beautiful ginger hair and served the hors d’oeuvres trolley, truly made us feel welcome she was patient with our questions and she went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect making the atmosphere truly warm and friendly.
Have never been resident but the way you are greeted when visiting the restaurant is exemplary.Dining is not as expensive as you might think. Give it a try.
We visited with friends for afternoon tea one Saturday, and the adventure began before we’d even reached the hotel — the road in is charmingly narrow, so be prepared to practice your reversing skills (think of it as a warm-up before the scones). Parking, however, was a breeze, and before we’d even stepped inside, a staff member appeared with advice on where to go — like our own personal concierge ninja.
Inside, we were greeted by Josh, who couldn’t have been more welcoming if he’d tried. He guided us to our table, explained everything perfectly, and somehow managed to be attentive, friendly, and professional all at once — a rare triple threat in hospitality.
The food? Excellent. The setting? Beautiful. The view? So good it almost made us forget about calories. And the price? Very reasonable — which meant we could justify an extra beer (or two).
We’ll definitely be returning for another afternoon tea, partly for the ambience of this amazing hotel… but mostly for Josh and the scones.

We stayed here for two nights while traveling the coast of Cornwall. The service was superior- in fact, difficult to think of better service in any hotel that we’ve ever stayed within globally. Highly recommend the formal dining every night during your stay- it was incredible, worth every penny. Our bedroom had a beautiful ocean view and was very quiet. It’s an older hotel but traditionally and tastefully decorated. The concierge was very helpful to book our tickets and plan our days for us. This is the best hotel in Cornwall to visit. Thank you!
Today was no exception. We dropped in for a cream tea. Perfect from the moment we were met by a delightful young lady who was very welcoming and brought us our tea. The scones were delicious, warm and held the jam and cream beautifully and we washed them down with a pot of peppermint tea!
We will be back again very soon!
