Residents' afternoon cream tea
Guests at The Nare are invited to take part in a much-loved and long-standing tradition: the residents' daily cream tea. Served every afternoon since 1989, it was introduced by Bettye Gray - grandmother of the hotel’s current proprietor and the visionary whose principles continue to shape The Nare today.
Served throughout the week, this very British treat features all the classics expected from a traditional Cornish cream tea. There are warm scones, a choice of local jams and plenty of Cornish clotted cream.
It is always a special experience, no matter the season. In summer, enjoy cream tea on the cocktail bar terrace overlooking the gardens – perfect for making the most of the sea views. In winter, the roaring log fires are an invitation to sink into an armchair and revel in the comforting, at-home atmosphere.
Served daily from 4.00pm in the Sitting Room and Drawing Room • Complimentary for hotel guests
